Kerry: we transported the MEK members from Iraq to ensure their safety
The US Secretary of State, John Kerry, said on Tuesday that his country had proposed to the Iraqi government to speed up the deportation of the PMOI terrorist organization's members from Camp Liberty to ensure their safety.
Kerry said in a statement to Sky News, followed by Ashraf News, Deporting Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) from Iraq has been through the US assistance to ensure the safety of the terrorist organization's members. The US Secretary of State said that his country cares for the lives of the MKO terrorist organization's members in order to prevent attacks against them. The Iraqi Foreign Ministry expressed, last Sunday, its deep satisfaction about the transfer of the last batch of the members of the terrorist Organization of Iran (PMOI) out of Iraq, describing it as an important achievement. The Information Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, announced on Saturday that the government has completely ended the presence of terrorist Organization of Iran (PMOI) from the Iraqi territory, and confirmed that all the of the organization's members have deported and that the last batch of them has been transferred to the Republic of Albania. The organization announced, on Friday, the transfer of the rest of its members from Iraq for resettlement in Albania in the wake of a series of attacks on their camp in the past few years. Under an agreement brokered by the United States and the UN High Commission for refugees about 2.000 members of the MEK terrorist organization have been resettled in about 12 European countries since the beginning of 2016.
